Lady Gaga isn’t playing any games this time around! Everything she’s doing – from collaborating with Tony Bennett, to covering Julie Andrews at the Oscars, to getting engaged, to scoring the lead role in the upcoming season of American Horror Story, to her Diane Warren-penned rape ballad “Till It Happens To You” – has been toying with her whole new incarnation, and its all been absolutely fantastic. It’s no wonder Billboard has decided to name her their 2015 Woman of the Year. Gaga is killin’ it!
And it doesn’t stop there… this week, Gaga stars in a brand new fashion film for Tom Ford‘s Spring/Summer 2016 collection! Directed by Nick Knight, the clip sees Gaga and a whole troupe of hot models strut their stuff on the runway all while showing off the designer’s latest fashions to the sound of Gaga‘s uplifting new Nile Rodgers-produced cover of Chic‘s 1979 disco classic “I Want Your Love.”
“Instead of having a traditional show this season, I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way that was designed from its inception to be presented online,” Ford said in a statement his on official website. “I have always loved Soul Train, which used to be on TV in the ’70s, as it was as much about the clothes as the music. I asked Nile Rodgers to collaborate on a new version of one of his great hits from that time, ‘I Want Your Love,’ and worked with Gaga to record the vocals.”
I can’t say enough good things about this. Gaga sounds and looks incredible – GET INTO IT!!
