‘Run Away With Me’: Carly Rae Jepsen’s Addictively Good ‘I Really Like You’ Follow-Up!

Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “I Really Like You” may not have been the massive success story that was “Call Me Maybe,” but that doesn’t mean her upcoming album E·MO·TION isn’t going to be every bit as good as her underappreciated 2012 record Kiss. If the dreamy Dev Hynes-produced “All That” and the sugary-sweet title track have yet to convince you of that very fact then look no further because “Run Away With Me,” the official “I Really Like You” follow-up, is finally here!

The Shellback-produced gem is one big, shimmering ’80s-tinged explosion of pop greatness packed with thunderous waves of glittering snytherizers and wonderfully addictive, earnest hooks. “Baby, take me to the feeling / I’ll be your sinner in secret/ When the lights go out/ Run away with me, run away with me,” she declares. The song is impeccably produced from start to finish, bubblegum pop at its very finest. I’m seriously hooked.

This girl is not getting enough credit – JUSTICE FOR CARLY SLAY!

  1. That hey sample is now in Talking Body, Crazy Youngsters, this, and among others, I’m sure. I love the track other than that. I’ll definitely be checking out this album.

    1. Listened to the album…I feel like it sounds all the same except for the some songs. I enjoy Run Away With Me, Emotion, Gimme Love, and All That the most and feel those stand out in the my mind.
