This week’s Song of the Week comes from The Chainsmokers! Since breaking out in a major way with their 2014 hit “#Selfie,” the NYC-based duo have been keeping busy by releasing remix after remix and single after single; from Clean Bandit‘s “Real Love” to Life Of Dillon‘s “Overload” to their fantastic originals “Good Intentions” and “Let You Go,” both of which have stayed in heavy rotation on my gym playlists since their debuts.
This week, the guys bring us a brand new track: “Roses” featuring Rozes! The duo unveil an unusual twist on “Roses,” showcasing a wonky array of attack-and-release stabs and spastic trap-light percussion that collides effortlessly with the unique, shape-shifting electronic production. Rozes — not to be confused with the track’s namesake – infectious vocal serves as the driving force and rounds out the track to flawless completion. I think this one is my favorite one yet – GET FAMILIAR NOW!
