Ya’ll remember MKTO?
Their the breakout Los Angeles-based duo – Tony Oller and Malcolm Kelly – responsible for supplying us with last summer’s irresistibly catchy jam “Classic,” which is certified double-platinum in the U.S. and triple-platinum in Australia.
One year later, and the twosome are back and ready to do it again with a brand new offering: “Bad Girls,” a similarly buoyant slice of throwback-inspired pop spruced up with a heavier bassline and infectious horns. “‘Cause I love them bad girls/ Doing bad things/ Lookin’ hot with an attitude/ Love them bad girls/ Like a bad dream/ Shouldn’t want them but I do,” Tony sings on the hook. It’s basically a meatier, more mature version of what we’ve already heard from them so it should work in their favor. What do you guys think?
“We’re pumped up about it. We had a lot of fun with this song, but we’ve also grown a lot this past couple of years and have a lot more to talk about in our music,” MKTO told Billboard. “There is some great instrumentation behind us on this new one that we think fans will also be excited about.”
