‘Slip Away’: Aaron Pfeiffer’s Seductive Slow Burner From Debut ‘Nightcall’ EP!

After making waves with lead single “Can’t Shake This” last month, up-and-coming New York-based crooner Aaron Pfeiffer is already back at it with the premiere of “Slip Away,” the official second taste from his upcoming debut EP Nightcall.

Unlike the irresistibly catchy “Can’t Shake This,” “Slip Away” is a purely moody, late night production.

Sometimes, the beauty of a song lies in its simplicity, and that’s just what’s happening here: Backed by ambient noise, haunting electronica, distant seductive coos, and delicate guitar tabs, “Slip Away” recalls the most sensual moments of Miguel‘s Kaleidoscope Dream, and the alt-R&B melodrama of The Weekend‘s signature flow. “Not gonna let it slip away this time/ Not gonna let it slip away this time,” he declares throughout the dreamy chorus. It’s a simple and straightforward hook but it totally works. Ghostly and romantic all at once – I LIVE.

Aaron is set to have his Nightcall EP Release Party next month on Thursday (June 11) in Slake’s Red Room. He’ll be performing all the new songs from his upcoming EP and much more. So if you’re in town make sure to BUY your tickets now! I’ll be hosting the event 😉
