Florence + The Machine are really taking us for a ride with this next LP.
After supplying us “What Kind Of Man,” “St. Jude” and “Ship To Wreck,” the talented Miss Florence Welch has decided to unveil “Delilah,” the fourth taste of Florence + The Machine‘s forthcoming third studio album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful.
Like so much of what we’ve already heard from the record, “Delilah” finds Florence laying down her almighty vocals on-top of her signature safe space–that is, the crashing sounds of drums, tambourines, dramatic string-work and simmering synths. “It’s a different kind of danger, and my feet are spinning ’round/ Never knew I was a dancer until Delilah showed me how,” she assures us throughout the song. It’s just as intense and tremendous as the others, yet on the first listen “Delilah” feels like more of a triumphant moment than the angst and beautiful tragedy of, say, “Ship To Wreck.” It’s simply just on another level – What do you guys think?
