Hilary Duff Reveals ‘Breathe In, Breathe Out’ Album Cover & Drops ‘Sparks’ Music Video!

Turn the lights down low and kiss me in the dark: Our original Disney diva Hilary Duff has finally dropped the music video for addictive new single, “Sparks” – and it’s basically one big Tinder themed extravaganza!

The 27-year-old entertainer has recently been very open about using Tinder to find dates and now we know that it was all for the Hannah Lux Davis and Austin Peters-directed clip, which also sees Hil turning out some fierce choreography in neon-lit rooms. At first I was kind of annoyed by all the Tinder nonsense, but then I thought, okay Hilary, you’re trying something different here. This will get people talking and LAWD knows she needs it. With that said, a non-Tinder version would still be greatly appreciated at some point. K thanks.

Aside from the “Sparks” visual, Hilary has also revealed the official artwork for her fifth studio album titled Breathe In. Breathe Out, due out on June 16 via RCA Records. “It’s the title of a track on the album that I did with Matthew Koma, and it stuck with me,” Hilary told EW. “Over the past few years of my life it’s just been something that really helped me—just taking a deep breath in and letting a deep breath out. It can be a good thing, it can be a struggle, it can be a power thing—it’s just a good reminder for everyone to remember to do that. It’s a relief.”

I wouldn’t call this a music video. Let’s just say it’s a video with background music. The whole production is almost intolerable.

trash garbage…plus she scammed all her fans into a tindr commercial! disappointed in her tbh! gotta make that $$$$ and stay relevant I guess …

Are you all kidding me? Did we watch the same video!? Yeah, the whole tinder commercial is a little much, but thats not what the video is about… The whole video was amazing for me, and I thought she was so cute and adorable… I enjoyed the date scenes and would love just the music video portion of it without the tinder mess, but overall the video was everything.. I mean, have you watched her last video? I can’t even finish it. This one is way better and more in the direction of what I would like to see… Just enjoy the video, it was fun, and stop hating! <3

I love the song, and wanted to love the video. My biggest issue with the video was that the talking over-powered the song, like an unwanted interruption almost every 30 seconds. I was so annoyed by it that I edited the video with iMovie to take out the talking, and sync it to the music better. I don’t want to post it to Youtube or anything, for copyright issues. But I think those of you, who also had issues with the video would appreciate the way this slight “edit” flows much better, without the “talking interruptions”. If anyone wants to see, here’s the dropbox video link:

Jon, if you have a second, check out my edit of the video in the Dropbox link, I think it’s as close to a non-Tinder version of the video that we’ll get, for now. 🙂

(By the way, thanks for your everything you post on your blog, I check it almost every day, and I’ve been a faithful follower since the beginning- I absolutely love your seasonal remix playlists!):)

Thanks so much, Jaime & Carlos! Really Appreciate it! 🙂 They should release a version like this, since the other version is too choppy to play at Bowling Alleys and on Music Choice, etc.

I really love this song, the video not so much. its a really cute visual as it also shows that “wow! Hilary Duff has a personality!” and “WoW! she really is just like any other 27 year old lady out there!”. Its cute!
