While lead single “Nobody Love” continues to steadily climb up the Billboard Hot 100 (currently #60), Tori Kelly is offering up another taste of her debut album Unbreakable Smile with the release of “Should’ve Been Us“!
The song, loaded with a bass thumbing beat and soaring melodies, is an instant and undeniable earworm recalling all sorts of Max Martin-esque throwback Swedish pop greatness. Except, it’s surprisingly not produced by Max Martin at all — it’s actually crafted alongside Tove Lo‘s team of Swedish songwriters Ludvig Söderberg and Jakob Jerlström, as well as Alexander Kronlund, who had a hand in co-writing some of Britney Spears‘ classic anthems with Martin, including “Till The World Ends,” “If You Seek Amy,” and the oh so legendary “Lucky.”
I’m getting all sorts of ’90’s Robyn vibes from this and I’m totally here for it. YES TORI!
