Little Boots Announces New Album ‘Working Girl’ & Drops Lead Single ‘Better In The Morning’!

Just five short months after the release of her Business Pleasure EP, UK songstress Victoria Hesketh aka Little Boots has announced that she is set to release her new album, Working Girl, on July 10th via Dim Mak and her own label On Repeat. The 13-track LP serves as her third full-length to date following 2013’s Nocturnes. It features collaborations with producers Ariel Rechtshaid, Grades, and Jeppe Laursen, Chris Carmouche, Com Truise and Simian Mobile Disco’s Jaw Shaw, as well as all four tracks featured on the Business Pleasure EP.

Along with the album announcement, Boots has dropped the project’s lead single titled “Better In The Morning,” a bouncy pop gem produced by Ariel Rechtshaid. “It’s always better / So much better in the morning / It’s always better, so much better in the morning,” she softly sings above a hard-hitting percussion beat that sounds like a slight nod to Tom Tom Club‘s 1981 hit “Genius of Love.” A subtle smash – I LOVE!

“The album’s inspired by my journey from the beginning to the present, where I am essentially CEO of my own business and run an independent label,” Boots said in the press release. “It’s also fun and empowering to turn the traditional associations of ‘working girl’ on their head.”
