Kelly Clarkson Duets with Josh Groban on ‘Phantom Of The Opera’ Ballad, ‘All I Ask Of You’!

Even though I enjoy me a Broadway classic here and there, musical theater has never really been my thing. Josh Groban is another noun that has never really been my thing. However, our very first American Idol winner and flawless cover queen Kelly Clarkson has ALWAYS been my thing and is the only reason why this post exists. The two have paired up and covered The Phantom of the Opera‘s “All I Ask of You,” – originally recorded by Cliff Richard and Sarah Brightman in 1986 – and now, my body is feeling things its never felt before with this award-worthy duet. These vocals, you guys! Kellegend can literally do no wrong.

The track is from Josh‘s upcoming album Stages, which will be released on April 28th via Reprise Records. The album is a collection of some of the greatest musical theater songs of all time, so if you’re into that type of thing, pre-order it on iTunes now.

  1. AWW Kelly tried it. Her voice is not theatre. Josh is everything tho.

    1. AWWW, don’t be delusional. She didn’t “try it”, she succeeded with this one. Her voice was amazing in this version.

  2. I’m actually surprised by her voice, it’s more rich and timeless than it’s ever been. Yes, this isn’t her genre but, I think for a theater-pop reworking of a classic, it’s remarkable.
