The decision to re-release “Chains” as the next single from his self-titled debut is proving to be quite the smart move for heartthrob Nick Jonas. The track is slowly working its way up the Billboard Hot 100 (currently #42), while its predecessor “Jealous” is still sitting pretty in the Top 20. And now, after tapping Tinashe for his remix to “Jealous,” Nick has recruited label mate Jhené Aiko for an official “Chains” remix. The Jason Evigan and Ammar Malik-produced cut remains the same for the most part, the Souled Out songstress just adds her own verse following the first chorus. “You play the submissive role / Then maybe we switch the role / I’ll be your slave / You can have me anyway that you want,” Jhené sings. It isn’t anything spectacular by any means, but it should at least help the song gain momentum on urban radio formats. What do you guys think?
