Carly Rae Jepsen Makes Her Return with New Single, ‘I Really Like You’!
Three years after releasing her seriously underrated sophomore album Kiss, “Call Me Maybe” hit-maker Carly Rae Jepsen is finally back and preparing the imminent release of her third studio album. The Canadian songstress makes her grand return with the premiere of her super-catchy new single, “I Really Like You“! Written by Jacob Kasher (Kylie Minogue, Fifth Harmony, etc.) and Peter Svensson of The Cardigans, “I Really Like You” is an unapologetically sweet, bubblegum-pop sonic explosion of a song driven by a sparkling ’80’s-inspired production and Carly‘s crispy clean coo’s. “I really, really, really, really, really, really like you,” she sings on the immediately memorable hook. Considering the current state of pop is saturated with dance-heavy, assembly line productions, it’s nice to hear a song that already sounds like an instant classic. I really love it. What do you guys think?

So freaking addicted to this song. I’ve been listening to it on repeat. Love the chorus. She describes how we all feel in the beginning with someone.

Sounds like a Taylor Swift B-side.

@ALLISON was thinking the same thing. I loved 1989, so I don’t mind getting extra songs to add to it.

I’m sorry, but this girl sings songs that a 13 year old would write and sing…and she is nearly pushing 30. she needs to grow up just a little IMO

Not a dig at anyone in particular, but the fact that people over the age of 13 enjoy this blows my mind.
