Are you ready for more Kelly Clarkson? The 32-year-old American Idol diva has been sharing pieces of her upcoming album Piece by Piece in every sense of its title, dropping a new track from the LP daily (From the Sia-penned “Invincible” to the super-deep title track). Today’s offering is “Run Run Run,” a duet with Oscar winner and fellow Duets mentor John Legend that is actually a cover of a Tokio Hotel song from their album Kings of Suburbia. The track sees the two singers harmonizing beautifully atop a subtle piano-led production that organically builds alongside gorgeous orchestral strings and marching drums. By the time the song reaches its epic, compelling climax, it’s pretty clear to see why the cover happened in the first place. They don’t call her Queen of Covers for no reason! What do you guys think?
