Florence + The Machine Sets New Album For June & Premieres Lead Single, ‘What Kind Of Man’!

Following their stunning teaser earlier this week, Florence + The Machine are officially kicking off their new era with the music video premiere for new single, “What Kind Of Man“! The clip directed by Vincent Haycock and choreographed by Ryan Heffington, comes with the news that their third studio album titled, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, is set to hit stores on June 2 via Republic Records. Produced by Markus Dravs (Björk, Arcade Fire, Coldplay), the album featuring 14 new tracks will include contributions from Paul Epworth, Kid Harpoon and John Hill. “I’m so happy to announce my new record, ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’,” Florence wrote on her Instagram. “Written over two years between London and LA. Recorded with my good friend Marcus Dravs about a 15 min bike ride from my house. It has been a true labour of love. Thank You all for your patience, and thanks to everyone who inspired, consoled, contributed, and supported throughout. Im so glad you get to hear it. But sad to let it go. Please take care of it, as it took care of me. F xxxx.”

WOW! WOW! WOW! Written by Florence, Tom Hull, John Hill, with production provided by Hill with Markus Dravs and Mary Ann Mariano, “What Kind Of Man” sees the band taking on a much bigger sound with a steady build of blaring horns, infectious guitar riffs, and crashing drums that effortlessly weave between Flo‘s high-flying vocals. This is pretty great. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to love anything more than what’s on Lungs, but she never disappoints.
