Sam Smith Suits Up to Hit NYC in ‘Like I Can’ Music Video!

Fresh off the announcement of his six 2015 Grammy Awards nominations, Sam Smith debuts his latest music video for “Like I Can“! The track serves as the third U.S and fourth overall single off his critically-acclaimed debut studio album In The Lonely Hour, which is available everywhere now via Capitol Records. Directed by Sophie Muller, the clip sees the 22-year-old British singer all suited up with his mates as they roam the streets of New York City in the black and white visual. Surprisingly, it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the actual song which is a real shame. Oh well. What do you guys think?

It’s a nice video. It’s my favourite track off the album too and as for it having nothing to do with the song, well I guess you can try to see it as though he’s trying to get over someone, so all his lads took him out for a trip to NYC to help him forget? The shots at the bar at the end and that brief glimpse of sadness that crosses over his face – we’ve all been there. He’s lucky to have friends take him out to try and help him move on. That’s how I saw it!
