Jessie J Gets Back to Basics on ‘Masterpiece’ & ‘Ain’t Been Done’ – Listen!
With just one week left to go until the release of her third studio album Sweet Talker, Jessie J has decided to debut “Masterpiece” and “Ain’t Been Done“! Both tracks serve as exclusive iTunes countdown singles in support of the upcoming LP, which is set to hit stores on October 13 in the UK followed by a worldwide release on October 14 via Island and Lava Records. The British sensation rocks out and speed raps on the guitar-heavy “Ain’t Been Done,” and then she slows things down and sings about being “perfectly incomplete” on the soaring power ballad “Masterpiece,” which has already become an early favorite of mine. Just from these two numbers alone you can tell that Jessie has gone back to basics for Sweet Talker, while also crafting a more grown-up, and polished sound. I’m totally here for it all! Her music is so generic pop. Nothing original, next level or cutting edge. Pretty sad considering how talented she is. Looks like this album’s going to do pretty much the same as her sophomore flop.
