It’s time for some new music and for y’all to get formally introduced to Karen Harding! The 22-year-old Newcastle songstress is one of the newest artist to emerge from the UK dance label Method Records (Disclosure’s label), and wasting no time to let the world know what to expect from her is her MNEK-produced debut single, “Say Something.” Boasting infectious synth builds, and buoyant, impossible-not-to-dance-to beats, “Say Something” is the kind of glorious house number that could easily have an entire club up on their feet. I know, I’ve been obsessed with it for the past month. With artist like Clean Bandit to Gorgon City to Kiesza to Jess Glynne already killing it, there’s absolutely no reason why Karen can’t hop on the ’90’s House and UK garage train that is currently running 2014.
“I want to bring what Whitney Houston brought to ’80s and ’90s R&B to house. I’m all about the vocals and bringing back really cool harmonies and strong ad-libs that people can get excited about. But most of all I want people to enjoy themselves,” Karen explains. I’M ALL IN!
Karen Harding will release her debut single “Say Something” in the UK on January 25th!
