Zara Larsson Readies Debut Album ‘1’ with New Single, ‘Rooftop’!

Over the last year or two, Zara Larsson has spent her time building a proper name for herself with the release of some pretty great pop gems including her clap-heavy buzz track “Bad Boys” and soaring lead single “Carry You Home.” But now, the 16-year-old Swedish songstress is finally preparing the release of her full-length debut album entitled 1, which is due out in Sweden on October 1 via TEN Records and Universal Music. Here we have the official second single, “Rooftop,” a slick and dreamy pop anthem driven by a throbbing dance beat, infectious feather-light harmonies and romantic bridge breakdown. “It was a night to remember we were hanging up on the roof / Someone got knocked out and in came the boys in blue / And you said bye, I said bye / Some of that made the news / I just, I just can’t, can’t take my mind off you,” Zara confidently sings up against waves upon waves of warm synthesizers. A stellar Swede-pop production with an unexpectedly beautiful love story – I’m all in! What do you guys think?
