Mary J. Blige Shares First Taste of New Album with Disclosure-Produced ‘Right Now’!

After slaying our lives with her surprising Disclosure and Sam Smith collaborations earlier this year, Mary J. Blige packed her bags and booked a permanent trip to London, where she’s been prepping her thirteenth studio album entitled The London Sessions. The 43-year-old R&B diva has been keeping busy in the studio making some magic with executive producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins and British hit-makers including Sam Smith, Emeli Sandé, and Naughty Boy. Today (September 5), Mary introduces us to her new sound with the premiere of her first offering “Right Now,” a track written and produced by Disclosure, Sam Smith, and Jimmy Napes. The song sounds like a effortless marriage between the two acts, as Mary soulfully sings above Disclosure‘s signature garage beats and infectious synth work. I’m so pumped for this new record!
