Röyksopp & Robyn Premiere Intense Video for ‘Do It Again’

Royksopp and Robyn finally premiere the music video for their epic dance hit “Do It Again“! The track serves as the lead single off their EP of the same title, which is available everywhere now via Interscope and Cherrytree Records. Shot in Mexico by award-winning Danish filmmaker Martin de Thurah, the short film is called Our Hearts Desires and is set in an unspecified era where a revolution is in the making. “The stories we worked on and the world we created was much more interesting and captivating than just to focus on (the artists’) performance,” Martin expressed via Dazed & Confused. I worked with the idea of ‘what is our heart’s desire?’ – and I realised that no one in the world truly gets to live out their passions. We are all under some construct, whether you’re an atheist living in Denmark or a gay person in Russia.”

Svein Berge from Röyksopp adds “I feel that the video in a clever way manages to emphasize one of the main themes of the song – doing something that might be considered morally wrong, and yet going through with it, fully aware of the consequences and potential repercussions. Some of these actions are driven by choice – others by necessity.” Robyn concurs, saying, “I´m pleased that, for me, the video stirs up a feeling of chaos which is what we talked about quite a bit when we wrote ‘Do It Again.’ Life takes you to a critical point and even though it might not make you happy, when it´s over, you want to go back.”

Did not envision this concept for such a light hearted and wonderful song like”Do it Again.” Definitely a big let down and does not equal up to the song lyrics. The video is more dark and depressing than “let’s do it again.”

It would not be Robyn if the video would be what I expected. I like it. Especially in the end when it all comes together…I kinda always felt this chaos in the song at this part…it fits perfectly. But I would have liked to see Robyn more often!

I originally thought Robyn would throw some futuristic concept together and make it abstract, but I really like this idea of expression. It threw me for a loop.
