Song of the Week: Kimbra ’90’s Music’
This weeks Song of the Week comes from New Zealand singer-songwriter Kimbra! After gaining much attention with her Gotye Grammy-winning hit “Somebody That I Used to Know,” the 24-year-old songstress is finally getting ready to release the follow-up to her fantastic 2011 debut album, Vows. Here we have her new single entitled “90’s Music,” which is an interesting and unexpected pop number produced by Rich Costey and Major Dudes. Packed with a variety of instrumental shifts, intricately-layered glitches, and guitar jabs provided by Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, “90’s Music” is a bit erratic from the jump but in the best way possible. It’s like the radio exploded and “90’s Music” was born – the song has a bit of everything. I’m certainly intrigued. GET INTO IT!

LOVE Kimbra! This song grew on me overnight, I woke up with “everyday we listening to 90s music” in my head, and had to listen to it again. Listen to it with headphones though, the bass is sick!
