BANKS Premieres ‘Goddess’ & Sets Full-Length Debut Album for September!

Building on the momentum of previous single “Brain,” Los Angles songstress BANKS has announced that she will be releasing her full-length debut album titled Goddess on September 9 via Harvest Records. Along with the announcement, Banks has premiered its title track and lead single today (April 28) on BBC Radio 1xtra. Produced by Lil Silva, the song driven by hazy, distorted production tells a more empowering story than we’ve heard from her before: “You put her down / You liked her hopeless.. Cus she’s a goddess / You never got this,” she nervously coos on-top of the skipping beat. Though the song never quite explodes the way “Brain” does; Banks vocal undeniably soars while surrounded in dark atmospherics. “It’s so important for women to embrace themselves and feel like goddesses,” Banks said during her UK concert last month. “The song’s called ‘Goddess‘ because every woman is a f*cking goddess.” Couldn’t have said it better myself!
