With just a few days left to go until the release of The New Classic, Iggy Azalea‘s collaboration with Rita Ora, “Black Widow” has found its way online before its April 22 release date. The track is rumored to be the next single off The New Classic after the Charli XCX-assisted rising hit “Fancy,” which is currently #37 on the Billboard Hot 100. Produced by Benny Blanco and Stargate and co-written by Katy Perry, “Black Widow” is a thrilling, urban-leaning pop jam with an infectious hook from Rita that grooves along a heavy bass-driven beat before building up to a hot trap breakdown. The structure is very similar to Katy‘s “Dark Horse,” but the sparse beat and Iggy‘s rapid-fire verses differentiate the two enough for “Black Widow” to stand on its own. I’m kind of really loving it – What do you guys think?
