OneRepublic: ‘Love Runs Out’ Single Premiere!

After their massive success with mega-hit “Counting Stars,” OneRepublic decide to release “Love Runs Out” as its official follow-up. The track is featured on the reissue of their third studio album Native, which was just released today (April 14) via Interscope Records. The additions include: New single “Love Runs Out,” fan favorite “Life In Color” and the Alesso vs. OneRepublic Remix of “If I Lose Myself.” “‘Love Runs Out‘ was originally going to be the first single on our album (Native, released in March last year) but I couldn’t crack the chorus. It gutted me because I had it marked on the board as “first single” for six months,” frontman Ryan Tedder revealed about the song. “Brent Kutzle, who is the cello and bass player in the band, said: “Man, we cannot put this out with an A+ verse and a B+ chorus. It was completely crushing my ego but I was like: ‘He’s right.’ The verse was an A and everything else was an A but the chorus was a B. So we tabled it.” The track now has said chorus, and no surprise, it’s definitely a winner for the group. What do you guys think?
