Lana Del Rey: ‘West Coast’ Single Premiere!
After performing it live for the first time last night (April 13) at the 2014 Coachella Music Festival, Lana Del Rey officially premieres her brand-new single entitled “West Coast“! The track serves as the lead single off her upcoming full-length sophomore album Ultraviolence, which is scheduled to be released soon via Interscope Records. Produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, “West Coast” is a chilled out, atmospheric pop number driven by a infectious hypnotic beat, western-inspired guitar riffs, and Lana‘s signature smoky, mumbled vocals. While the track undeniably has Lana‘s stamp all over it, “West Coast” sees her trading in the glamorized pop sound we’ve heard from her on Born To Die for a much more electronic and experimental soundscape. It’s giving me some Quentin Tarantino movie soundtrack vibes and I’m totally into it. What do you guys think?

I think that the song is ok, but i do prefer her earlier stuff that was on Born to Die. However, I do reckon that the song will grow on me in time.
