After taking some time off from the music scene, Keyshia Cole returns with the premiere of two new singles “Rick James” featuring Juicy J and “Next Time“! The tracks serve as the lead singles off her upcoming sixth studio album, which is due out this summer via Geffen Records. The 32-year-old R&B diva is coming back feistier than ever as she gets ratchet on “Rick James,” a hot urban number driven by a hard-hitting beat, her slick angst-filled delivery, and a solid verse from Mister Juicy J. Keyshia then slows things down and shows a softer side on “Next Time (Won’t Give My Heart Away),” a vulnerable electro-tingled ballad where she opens up about her relationship with estranged husband Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, who reportedly cheated on her. The song is one of six tracks she freestyled for the new record. “It’s just about giving your heart away and not really thinking, just moving on love and not moving with your mind,” Keyshia said during her interview on The Breakfast Club. She’s back – Get into them below!
Keyshia Cole will release her new single “Rick James” and “Next Time” on Tuesday (March 25)!
