Sia: ‘Chandelier’ Single Premiere!
After spending the last few years penning hits for everyone from Rihanna (“Diamonds“) to Beyoncé (“Pretty Hurts“), it’s no surprise why Sia has become one of music’s most in-demand hit-makers. Today, the 38-year-old Australian singer premieres her epic new single “Chandelier” from her upcoming follow-up to 2010’s We Are Born, which is due out this summer via RCA Records. Written by Sia and Jesse Shatkin, produced by Greg Kurstin and Jesse Shatkin, “Chandelier” is massive power ballad driven by a infectious hip-hop beat, hints of electronica, and a soaring chorus that puts everything playing in the Top 40 now to shame. The track is just one of those songs you like upon first listen immediately – it’s unbelievably catchy from start to finish – and even though the production doesn’t stray too far from what we’ve already heard from Kurstin, there’s no denying the power in Sia‘s lyrics and vocal delivery. Hold on for dear life kids, this one is HUGE. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a typical Rihanna song ..

It’s an OK song, sad to see her go the mainstream way. Sia has such a unique sound (pre-David Guetta), and I think she should stick to it.
Mic
It’s ok I suppose. Good vocal just not catchy at all.

It really has the same type of vibe as Diamond (it almost sound like Rihanna at the beginning) – then it soars with Sia’s voice.

Umm… I don’t get why you think this is hot. It sounds like a mess and a reject Rihanna track. Also, lyrically it’s stupid. She’s normally better than this.

Most annoying song I’ve heard in years. I turn off my radio when I hear this horrible sounding song.
