Rebecca Ferguson: ‘I Hope’ Single Premiere!

After having achieved Platinum success with debut album Heaven, Rebecca Ferguson returns with a brand-spanking new single titled “I Hope“! The track serves as the lead single off the 2010 X Factor UK runner-ups upcoming sophomore album Freedom, which is scheduled for release in the UK on December 2 via RCA Records. Premiered over the weekend on Graham Norton’s BBC Radio 2 show, “I Hope” is a soulful cut with a gorgeous piano-driven production complimented with big hooks and a infectious warm vocal from Miss Rebecca. The song resembles the sound of the Emeli Sandé a bit, but Rebecca‘s always distinctive execution is what makes it work – I love it. What do you guys think?

Rebecca Ferguson will release her new single “I Hope” on Sunday (November 24) in the UK!

Love the lyrics and the song sonically. Her voice sounds a lot like Macy Gray, but the reason I’m not crazy about her voice is because she needs more feeling behind it. This song is a smash and all it needs is the right artist to sing it.
