This weeks Song of the Week comes from British club icon Paul Oakenfold! The 49-year-old trance producer gets together with New York rap songstress Azealia Banks on the brand-new “Venus,” which is rumored to be featured on Paul’s upcoming album Pop Killer. “Venus” is a straight-up dance anthem packed with a steady club-ready pulse, big drop-outs, big drops, and surprisingly easy-to-follow versus from young Azealia. “We had a lot of fun making this track together in the Red Bull studio in LA. Azealia is a talented singer,” Paul said about the collaboration. “We worked really well together and I was very happy with the result.” Tracks like these normally feel predictable and expected, but they both turned it out and this is the most immediate number Azealia has put out in awhile.
