Check out the premiere of Karmin‘s new single “Acapella“! The track serves as the lead single off the duo’s upcoming full-length debut album, due in stores later this year via Epic Records. “Acapella” sees Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan trade in their signature mix of electro-pop and rap for a more stripped down, funky, heavy bass affair. The song is in the same vein as some of their earlier work, just more aggressive and original. “‘Acapella‘ was created almost exclusively with human voices,” Amy told Rolling Stone. “We flipped the original meaning of Acapella to mean ‘D.I.Y.’ or should we say ‘D.I.A. – Do It Acapella!” I’ve never really acknowledged these two but I can appreciate them trying something new. I don’t hate it, I don’t love it. What do you guys think?

Karmin will release their new single “Acapella” on Tuesday (June 25)!
