Kanye West Premieres ‘New Slaves’ + ‘Saturday Night Live’!

After much teasing, Kanye West is finally getting ready to release his sixth solo album Yeezus on June 18th! On the eve of his fifth musical appearance on Saturday Night Live, the 35-year-old rapper debuted his new song “New Slaves” via a visual being displayed at 66 landmarks and buildings for fans across North America, Europe, and Australia. Though they’re plenty of reasons to hate on Kanye, I have to admit that this might be the coolest thing an artist has done in awhile. In the music climate today everything is so predictable, its nice to see someone stir things up. Major props! The studio version of the single is set to feature Frank Ocean – I’d be lying if I said I’m not looking forward to it.

In case you missed it, check out the official album artwork for Yeezus and his SNL‘s performances for “New Slaves” and “Black Skinhead” below – Enjoy, Comment, etc!

Absolutely love it. This is the old Kanye that we all love. Anyone who thinks these songs are horrible needs to be executed in public…or maybe a closer listen to the lyrics. This guy talks about real things. A theme that many rappers of today are deviating from.
