Flashback Friday: Dream ‘He Loves U Not’
This weeks Flashback Friday song belongs to short-lived iconic girl group Dream! Formed in 1998: Holly Arnstein, Melissa Schuman, Ashley Poole and Alex Chester made their mark with their debut single “He Loves U Not,” the track reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was the first video by an all-female group to be retired on TRL. Despite the song’s impressive performance, follow-up single “This Is Me” never saw the same success and the girls were quickly identified as one hit wonders. Whenever I hear this song, I think back to the time when four of the most popular girls from my 2nd grade class performed a dance number to it at our Fall Talent Show. It was everything and I secretly wished I was up there with them. A girl can dream right?
