Before the year came to an end, HURTS announced their comeback with the release of buzz single “The Road“. After almost three years since the release of their 2010 debut Happiness, the English duo are officially back with the premiere of their new single “Miracle” off their sophomore album, Exile, scheduled for release on March 11 in the UK. The new track received its first play on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show Friday (January 4) and it isn’t necessarily what I was expecting. “Miracle” is a mainstream sounding, alternative-rock, stadium track that seems a little unexpected from the duo. It isn’t a bad song by any means but it sounds more like Coldplay (see “Paradise” and “Princess of China“) than HURTS. I’m always down for a change of pace but if it ain’t broke, why fix it. What do you guys think?
