Taylor Swift: ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ Video!

Taylor Swift

Check out the premiere of Taylor Swift‘s video for “I Knew You Were Trouble“! The track serves as the third official single off her fourth studio album, Red, available in stores now. Directed by Anthony Mandler, the clip opens with Taylor waking up in a desert filled with remnants of the party held the night before, then intercuts with flashbacks to her wild relationship with her boyfriend played by Reeve Carney. It’s a good video for a dramatic song and reminded me a lot of Lana Del Rey‘s “Ride” and Rihanna‘s “Diamonds” — which makes sense since Anthony helmed both. What did you guys think?

  1. I hate this video. It’s my favourite song off the album. It’s Taylor as Lindsay Lohan. Or Taylor’s cry for help. I think this is her trying to get away for a bit from the cute comments.

  2. This is stupid…. The beginning is supposed to be all dramatic and deep, then the song is all cheezy and poppy… I don’t get it.

    1. i completely AGREE.

  3. So, if Rihanna (We Found Love video) and Ke$ha got together… this is how I envision the end result… I’m not really impressed.

  4. I’m not really a fan of taylor swift, but i love how she’s slowly stepping out from the country genre. Way to go taylor!

  5. ew. this doesn’t work. sorry tay.

  6. Unnecessary.

  7. nothing new… seems like another copycat

  8. this is just a rip off of ride and we found love. she is a try hard wannabee now she wants to a sexed up pop tart know one’s buying it, she can’t sing and has no talent.

    1. She can’t sing and has no talent? All of her awards and album sales beg to differ.

  9. Reminds me of Avril’s “Nobody’s Home” video. WEAK.

  10. All I can say is that Mandler needs some fresh ideas. If this seems like a repeat of his other work, then its lazy work on his part, not Taylor’s. I imagine she just went along with his vision. And yeah, I agree–doesn’t flow very well, does it?

  11. Rihanna rip off…

  12. you are retarded.

    EVERYONE copys EVERYONE.

you think rihanna is the first person to come up with a video like we found love? IF she even thought of it. lol

this business is about being current and this video is exactly that.

it was very well made, edited, and put together. it explains the story behind the song and fits it perfectly.

id rather watch a video like this than some black rapper just rapping at a fish eye lens on a green screen with ghetto girls shaking there ass in slow-mo.

this video has depth and emotion.

love it taylor!!! glad to see u doing more than slow cutsie stuff. :]

  13. don’t get your panties in a bunch Isaac, it’s an exact copy of a music video that came out last year. That isn’t an opinion it’s a fact.

“Some black rapper” – Tasteful, another racist country fan…

    1. Lol considering I HATE country music with a passion and Rihanna and nicki minaj are my favorite artists. I was talking about the video not the artist. So idk how I’m racist.

    2. The racist comment was unnecessary, Cruz, and you know it! God, you need to grow the fuck up!

      1. Please tell me how the phrase “some black rapper” is at all relevant here?

Graduate high school then we can talk bud.

        1. Granted, I think the “some black rapper” comment was a bit unnecessary, your response to it was unnecessary as well. Considering, I see a lot of your posts on here, you are pretty darn childish in general. Condescending at that. So, I return to my original statement that you need to grow the fuck up.

          1. Thanks for proving my point.

          2. I’ve posted maybe twice on here. So you can calm the fuck down. It’s a video and ur acting like this is a serious situation. Lol

          3. And I’m 21 years old. Get your facts straight.

  14. YET ANOTHER REASON TO HATE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Hard for me to admit it, but I do really like this song. This video, however…not so much. Reminds me a lot of Avril Lavigne’s “Nobody’s Home” video. And the beginning doesn’t fit the tone of the song AT ALL.
