Melanie Amaro: ‘Don’t Fail Me Now’ Video Premiere!

Check out the premiere of Melanie Amaro‘s very first music video for “Don’t Fail Me Now“! The track serves as the lead single off the 20-year-old X Factor winner’s debut studio album that’s scheduled for release later this year. Directed by Benny Boom, the clip mostly sees Melanie in a variety of different looks while a main story featuring a love interest plays in the background. “When I first heard the song, I knew I wanted the video to have movement to it and be a journey,” Benny said. “I thought of a clever way of taking her on this journey by using a rear-screen projector. She’s no longer the ‘X Factor’ contestant, she is the winner, and I wanted to make sure that we made a video that showed that.” What do you guys think?

I love this song but was kinda disappointed at the music video.. A rear-screen projector is “clever” and shows that she is the X-Factor winner? Sorry, you didn’t do her justice.

I don’t really like the song and the video. I think she can do so much better that. Is that what 5 million dollars worth?

i do not think that this song nor the video gives her voice any justice…this is not an epic fail but it is a fail. hoping that her next single and video will broadcast what she can really do…and what we fell in love with…
