Taylor Swift: ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’

Check out the premiere of Taylor Swift‘s brand-new track “I Knew You Were Trouble“! The song is the third promotional single released as part of the iTunes Countdown for her fourth studio album, Red, due for release on October 22. Written and produced with her “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, “I Knew You Were Trouble” sees Taylor take her pop-rock sound and throws in a dance dubstep breakdown to appeal to the masses. It’s clear Taylor decided to experiment on Red with many of the songs obviously appealing to pop fans. Longtime fans may be disappointed that she is sounding less like herself and more like everybody else, but I’m actually enjoying this. What do you guys think?

I would say begin again and red sounds like the old her. Her first two albums were country the next was more pop than country, she continues to release the odd folky sounding track here and there. So I welcome a chnage in sound but I do hope she doesn’t stray too far away from country forever.

I like her mixing it up. People change. Music changes too. Only natural to think she could do this switch without some haters. But she is an artist. At least she knows when it’s right for her. Love this singles coming out.

I’m dubious about listening to anything Taylor Swift has to offer, but I’m actually shocked she didn’t bollix up this splendid song/album. Very refreshing, indeed. I won’t allow her former endeavours to impede me from listening to her new album with an open mind.
