Coldplay: ‘Princess of China’ Featuring Rihanna!

Check out the premiere of Coldplay‘s video for “Princess of China” featuring Rihanna! The track serves as the fourth official single from their fifth studio album, Mylo Xyloto, available in stores now. Front man Chris Martin and RiRi play homage to old-school martial arts flicks in the clip directed by Adria Petty and Alan Bibby. You can expect a lot of flying, samurai sword action, and geisha inspired looks from the video. For the most part, it came together nicely and just some of the visuals looked cheap. The song is still a winner in my eyes though, the instrumental slays. What did you guys think?

This video sucks.. none of the elements in the video look like China.. It has more Thailand and Japanese influence rather than China influence.. And it look very cheap..

this video is getting flack all over online, but i think it was really well done.

the ‘cheap’ comments people keep making are ignorant because the video’s theme/stylization was modeled in the vein of CHEAP old skool martial art films…

personally, i found it to be an eye pleasing cinematic-esque visual…Chris Martin and RihRih look fuckin beautiful together.
