Rebecca Ferguson Makes U.S. Debut with New York Showcase!

On Tuesday, Rebecca Ferguson made her way to the U.S. to perform at her very first New York showcase at the Edison Ballroom. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter rose to fame after being a finalist on the UK’s X Factor where she finished in second place. Her fellow contestants One Direction and Cher Lloyd have all already made their way across the pond and its now Rebecca‘s time to crossover. Too kick off her debut in the states, Rebecca put on a wonderful intimate show that I was given the great privilege of attending alongside my blog besties, Bradley from MuuMuse and Camille from HardCandy Music. With a live band backing, the talented Brit performed a half hour set and wowed the industry crowd. She delivered a mesmerizing performance of a few tracks from debut album Heaven and also covered Drake‘s latest hit with Rihanna, “Take Care“. Having already been a fan of Rebecca from the X Factor, I already knew what to expect but nothing could beat hearing her effortless vocals in person. The woman is truly a powerhouse vocalist and if given the right opportunities, she could be destined for greatness. Heaven will be released in the U.S. on May 29!

I think she’s got a very unique voice, but I’ve never thought she was THAT good a singer before.. She’s not bad, but nothing amazing.. :/
