Taylor Swift Releases ‘Safe & Sound’ From ‘The Hunger Games’

Just in time for the holidays, Taylor Swift has released a brand new track titled “Safe & Sound” featuring The Civil Wars. The acoustic ballad will be included in the soundtrack of the upcoming movie adaptation of The Hunger Games. To my surprise the mournful track isn’t your typical Taylor Swift country tune, its actually quite beautiful and already seems like it fits the film perfectly. Hunger Games, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth hits theaters March 23! What do you guys think?

  1. “…seems like it fits the film perfectly.” That’s up for debate. The song is OK, not the best, but OK… I suppose I would have to see how they use the song in the movie before I say whether it fits or not. If it’s an action scene or something a tad off for this style of song (Not that it would be used in such a scene but you never know…), then I would probably have to say this song won’t work well…

    1. […] Lionsgate will raseele a nail polish collection inspired by “The Hunger Games” with China Glaze. (Crushable) […]

  3. I’m a huge fan of the Hunger Games and not a fan of Taylor, and I can say this is perfect! This song reminds me a lot of the book, it can be used in altmos all scenes scince the begining to the end! it’s perfect!

  4. Not a big Taylor Swift fan, but I actually like this song. Interested to see where they’re gonna put this in the movie.

  6. Is that the photo for it??? Oh, PERFECT SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I see this song playing in the background as Katniss is laying unconscience and Peeta takes care of her for a few days. Glipses of reality, feeling safe and scared at the same time….I’m so impressed at Taylor’s performance of such a simple yet beautiful song. She makes it wonderful!

  8. Never a T. Swift fan but this is actually a good song and very different from her usual song themes and thats saying something. Sounds very different from her usual monotone songs

  10. Ooo, it’s pretty and different for her. I like it a lot.

  11. Not the biggest T Swift fan, though I love it this song. I will say however that this track sounds remarkably like The Civil Wars.
