Jon ALi Presents: The Best Music Videos of 2011

Not only was 2011 an amazing year for music but it also has been a memorable year for the music video. As always, I’ve put together a video compilation of my Top 10 favorites of the year. Though we’ve definitely had some duds throughout the year, all these videos stood out to me. I think the importance of the music video is finally on its way back and I look forward to what 2012 has in store for us. Check out my Top 10 below and comment with your thoughts and faves of the year. Thank You.

Honorable Mentions: Nicki Minaj – Super Bass, Lykke Li – I Follow Rivers, Lana Del Rey – Video Games, Marina & The Diamonds – Radioactive, Lady Gaga – Judas, Beyoncé – Countdown, Jennifer Lopez – Papi, Dev – In The Dark, Jessie J – Nobody’s Perfect, Kelly Rowland – Motivation, and Katy Perry – E.T.

good list. I feel like Rihanna deserves the win for any “video of the year” category or “best video” category for the next year w/ that video. That is how you DO a music video!

Adele’s songs are good but that doesn’t automatically mean her videos are good. They aren’t among the top videos of the year.

How do the “Till The World Ends” or the Saturdays video stand out? TTWE is basically a newer version of Slave 4 U.

IMO, Beyoncé’s “Countdown” deserved to be in the top 10 as well as Lykke Li’s “Sadness Is a Blessing” and “Let Go” by the Japanese Popstars.

Love the video complication. I especially enjoyed The Saturdays, Katy Perry, and Rihanna music videos. I’m so happy that music videos are making a come back!

I would say if “Rolling In The Deep” should be on the list is because the video has a whole lot of meaning behind it besides her sitting in a chair. everything around her is being destroyed and she’s throwing her emotions out there. just a thought though

This is a great collection of videos. There are a few I hadn’t seen, but Blow and Last Friday Night are such great little twits on the song and very creative. Til the World Ends and Girls were both very typical of Beyonce and Britney, but done well. Marry the Night and We Found Love are both creations from great artists. Thanks for putting it together!
