Ok seriously, I don’t know what video some of you watched, but that was amazing…easily her most powerful video after ‘Firework’. And I’m also really glad this song got the single treatment because it’s one of the best on the album.

When I heard she was doing this song as a video, I wasn’t too sure how she was going to pull off a good video, but she did it. This video is amazing. Epic storyline. I love it!

This video is so bad. First off Katy “not talent” Perry stole “We Found Love” story line and everything for the preview for “The One That Got Away” The fighting in this movie….who fights over a girl not painting…it did not make any sence. This is a bad video all over, the song would have been better if it was stripped down for the video.

Now we know what she looks like old, I think Mr. Brand might run away…and then she can “sing” this song 🙂

James you are delusional. The preview had been planned for a while as Stevie Nicks, the voice-over, had talked about working with Katy a while back. And two, the only “resemblance” the actual video had to We Found Love was Katy getting tattooed by her lover. But then again, she even mentions that in the lyrics so it’s justified. Shut up, you’re ignorant.

Honestly, this video was perfect. The storyline and plot fit perfectly with the song and a lot of artists don’t do that anymore. I felt a powerful urge to shed a tear at the end and it gave me a brand new appreciation of the song. I didn’t even think of it as losing someone to death either. Katy, wow. I am impressed.

i like the way Katy treats her videos. This is the 6th single and the video is like a gem!!!! Perfect era! Love when artist give everything for each song

Okay, I was wrong about the video. The one shown on Ellen’s show did not do the song justice. The full one on VEVO is the real deal, all the small talks in the beginning, her placing her heels, dancing, and most importantly the part where she ‘meets’ her true love’s spirit in the end. That’s the best part.
