Introducing: Lana Del Rey
It’s about time I work up a post for the self-proclaimed “gangsta Nancy Sinatra.” If you haven’t heard of her already, let me introduce you to Lana Del Rey. The 24-year-old singer-songwriter is the girl all the bloggers are talking about and has easily developed web fame in a short space of time because of it. Does she live up to the hype? So far, yes. Lana exudes confidence in everything she has put out, though she has a more subtle way of going about it. The New York-born Lizzy Grant really caught my attention once she released single, “Video Games,” over the summer. Set against a set of dark whimsical strings combined with her jazzy vocal, “Video Games” pretty much had me sold. With a debut album in the works including production credits from, Liam Howe (Cocknbullkid), Chris Braide (Will Young, Diana Vickers), Emile Haynie (Tinie Tempah), and more, its clear why Lana has already become one of the most anticipated acts of 2011. The major plus as well is that she is stunningly beautiful. I’m definitely looking forward to more Lana Del Rey. Be sure to check her out, Enjoy!
